NO7 READY

I love makeup. I have always loved makeup - when I was a teenager my friends and I would wear loads of black eyeliner and scour our local markets for blue nail varnish. As I've got older i've discovered bright lipsticks (they detract from tired eyes) and the importance of a good, natural base.

I tend to wear makeup most days (or the ones where i'm leaving the house at least) but will change my look depending on the time of day, what i'm wearing or where I’m going.

I really enjoy applying my makeup and the time I get to myself while I put it on. It’s during this time that I think about what I am doing that day, how i’m feeling and both mentally and physically get ready to face the world.

When I have a bright lipstick on it makes me feel ready, when I wear mascara it makes me feel more awake, and when I have smooth natural skin i’m able to forget about what I look like and to focus on my actions, thoughts and ideas.

Makeup defiantely gives me confidence - I wear it to feel good. It enables me to look the best version of myself I can, and when I feel good in myself I usually have a better day.
